Dear Angela G. Leal Families,
I am very excited to join the amazing staff of Angela G. Leal Elementary School! With over 20 years of educational experience in San Benito, I view my position of principal as an opportunity to lead our school to accomplish great things. The role of principal entails many exciting opportunities; however, most importantly, my personal and professional goal is to provide children at AGL with the best educational experience possible – one that will build a foundation for life-long learning.
My mission as principal is to always put children first! At AGL, we believe that students are at the heart of the choices and decisions that we make on a daily basis. We strive to ensure that our students are safe, respected and happy members of our school community. When our students feel a positive connection to their school, they are ready to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.
My belief is that all students can learn, and it is our job to support all of their needs. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles; all children are different. I also want all children to love school! My passion for elementary education as well as the enthusiasm of my staff will always be evident. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive in all ways possible. At Angela G. Leal, our mission is to provide such an environment for all of our students.
At AGL, we believe parent involvement is critical to continued success. My message to all parents is to stay involved. This can be accomplished by staying in contact with your child’s teacher on a regular basis. We also encourage you to volunteer by visiting our Parent Center on Wednesdays from 8:30am - 11:30am. Our Parent Liaison, Ms. Daniela Garcia, is more than willing to provide you with any volunteer information you might need.
I am very excited to start my career as principal of Angela G. Leal Elementary School. I feel fortunate and blessed to be in this leadership role and welcome it every day with open arms. I want parents to know that I have an open door policy to ensure that there is effective communication between all AGL community members. I am looking forward to meeting many of you in the near future. Please feel welcome to come by to introduce yourselves and say hello.
