Dear Angela G. Leal Families,
Welcome to another exciting year at Angela G. Leal Elementary School! This year will be one filled with new experiences, growing and learning together, and success for all. My goal for AGL is to ensure that every student is successful academically, socially, and emotionally. Our team of dedicated teachers pride themselves on developing strong and engaged students by providing a rigorous academic program along with the necessary skills to become life long learners.
As the principal, my priority is to always put children first! Students are at the heart of the choices and decisions that we make on a daily basis. We strive to ensure that our students are safe, respected and happy members of our school community. When our students feel a positive connection to their school, they are ready to learn and achieve to the best of their ability.
We believe that all students can learn, and it is our job to support all of their needs. As educators, we need to discover how each child learns in order to differentiate our instruction to support diverse learning styles; all children are different. It is also my desire to ensure that all children love school! My passion for elementary education as well as the enthusiasm of my staff will always be evident. In a collaborative effort, we want children to thrive in all ways possible. At Angela G. Leal, our mission is to provide such an environment for all of our students.
Parent involvement is critical to continued success of our students. My message to all parents is to stay involved in any capacity you can. This can be accomplished by staying in contact with your child’s teacher on a regular basis. We also encourage you to volunteer by visiting our Parent Center as often as possible.
I am very excited to start this school year with a fresh start. I feel fortunate and blessed to be the leader of an amazing campus and welcome it every day with open arms. This year our staff will fight like warriors and perform as champions, because our kids are worth it!
